You already decided this. It's in a thread from March.

otai reads your Slack, Gmail, Jira and notes, and keeps each decision with its reason and each promise with its due date. It’s a Mac app for people whose day runs across many conversations, and who are expected to remember why.

It happens every week.

  1. A thread ends with ok, we go with B. By Friday, nobody remembers why B.

  2. You told Marco you'd get back to him. It's a Jira comment, three weeks old.

  3. On the train you read a line that changed how you see the problem. By the office, it's gone.

  4. The review starts at ten. You need the reason you chose this. You open five tabs.

None of it is lost. It's only buried.

otai reads what flows in and keeps each fact with its source.

When it matters, it brings it back.

Nothing needs you today.

Until something does.

When someone’s waiting on you, the answer is already there.

For a direct message or a mention in Slack, otai drafts the reply from your memory, in your words, and shows where each fact comes from. You copy it and send it yourself: otai only reads.

From memory

In March you set retention to 90 days.

“Logs kept for 90 days; after that, Legal reviews them.”

Draft reply to Sara

We keep 90 days, as set in March. After that, Legal reviews them.

Give otai what you study: a note, a link, a PDF, a photo of the whiteboard. It keeps each idea with where you found it and links it to what you already know, work included. A second brain, if you like. In otai it’s one part of the memory, not all of it.

How otai works

Every fact shows where it came from.

otai reads Slack, Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Jira, Confluence and GitLab merge requests, plus the notes, links and files you give it. Each fact comes with its source, the exact quote, the day it was true and a trust status.

  • Confirmed by you
  • Read in a source
  • Deduced

You decide what is true.

When two facts disagree, or one has gone stale, otai flags it and asks you. It never picks a winner and never overwrites: a change is a new version, and the old one stays in history.

It prepares. You send.

otai reads your tools and never posts, sends or merges anything. Notes and drafts stay on your Mac until you use them.

Work and study, one memory.

Work and personal study live in one memory. otai can show a possible link between a work decision and something you read.

It runs on your Mac.

Your memory stays on your Mac. Models run locally, or on your own account with a provider, using your own key. No otai server sees your data, and you can export your memory at any time.

Keep what you decided. Let it come back to you.
